Westfield University provides professional and technical skills training across different areas, helping employees to enhance their individual development. Opportunities include in-house computer classes and developmental courses, as well as a resource library for employees with materials to help them develop their skills.
With a mix of both classroom and e-learning, course topics include presentation skills, change management, business and financial acumen, work/life balance, negotiating, and managing conflict. Employees are also provided with training on performance management systems and processes, helping all employees to understand how their performance ties to our overall corporate objectives. An ongoing manager school program prepares new managers for the duties associated with their new role.
The more technical-focused courses may include PowerPoint, Excel, IT architecture, commercial and personal lines underwriting, risk control, and other business-related technical courses that make sure employees have the knowledge they need to do their jobs.

Our emerging leaders program identifies emerging leaders throughout the organization and enhances the development of employees viewed as successors to management and leadership positions.
